Set up a sports EPG in TiviMate
Add IPTV-Sport as Xtream Codes, wait for the guide, create a sports favorites group, set EPG update off the match window, enable hardware decode.

Get Xtream Codes on WhatsApp
Message +44 7307 410512. Say TiviMate + the sports you care about (PL / UCL / NFL / NBA / UFC). Trial or €11 / €55. Wait for server, username, password.

Add playlist → Xtream Codes API
TiviMate → Add playlist → Xtream Codes. Paste the three fields exactly. Trailing slashes on the server URL matter. M3U URL is the fallback, not the sports default — EPG maps cleaner on Xtream.

Wait for the first EPG pull
20–90 seconds on a Firestick. Status bar will sit on “updating.” Do not tap Update five times. If groups stay empty, the login is wrong — stay in WhatsApp.

Create a Sports favorites group
Long-press channels → add to favorites. Starter set: Sky Sports Premier League, Main Event, Football, TNT Sports 1–4, Sky Sports NFL, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, UFC / TNT combat tiles. Rename the group “Sat 3pm” if that helps the household.

EPG update window + playback
Settings → EPG → update once daily in the small hours, not on every cold start. Playback → hardware decoder. Buffer 3000–4000 ms for 4K flagship feeds. Catch-up / archive: enable if your plan includes it (annual has the longer window).
Xtream first — why sports EPG dies on a dumped M3U
A 20 MB .m3u named sports_world_2026.m3u will open channels and still have a blank guide. TiviMate maps programmes cleanly when the provider speaks Xtream Codes (server / user / pass) and ships an EPG alongside. That is what we paste in WhatsApp. M3U is for VLC debugging or a stubborn Gala fallback, not for Saturday. If you already have TiviMate from a dead reseller, keep the app, replace the playlist — say so in chat so we do not “repair” their server.

Pin groups that match how sport is actually watched
All-channels search is how you miss a 15:00. Build groups by daypart, not by country. “UK football” = Sky + TNT. “Sunday NFL” = RedZone + Sky Sports NFL + the US network tiles. “Fight night” = UFC / TNT combat. “NBA late” = NBA TV + League Pass-shaped internationals. Landings for those products: NFL RedZone without cable, NBA playoffs guide, UFC PPV included.
Annual plan = three connections. You can pin different groups on different sticks. Weekend choreography: multi-device sports weekend.
EPG update, catch-up, and the 14:50 tax
TiviMate’s default “update EPG on start” is poison on a Firestick CPU ten minutes before kick-off. Move it to 03:00–05:00 local. Limit guide days to what you use (7 is plenty for live sport). Catch-up is for the midweek replay, not a substitute for a live 15:00 — if someone sold you “catch-up only Premier League,” that is a blackout panel. Our live claim sits on premier-league-iptv.
If the guide is full and the picture tiles, that is playback: HW+, Ethernet, then WhatsApp. Saturday-slate version: buffering on Saturday 3pm.
Firestick vs Android TV vs Shield — same EPG, different zap
TiviMate is happier on a Shield or a mid-range Android TV box than on a warm Firestick Lite. 4K Max is fine if you are not also pulling a 30-day EPG and four catch-up tiles. Android TV setup twin: Android TV sports IPTV. Device index: devices. We do not charge extra for a nicer box.
Premium TiviMate (~lifetime IAP; confirm the current Play/Amazon price in the store) unlocks extra playlists and a cleaner UI. It is optional for a trial night. We will not pretend the IAP is €0 if the store says otherwise.
What TiviMate cannot fix
A dead panel. If Sky Sports Main Event pixels in TiviMate and in Smarters, it is the feed. WhatsApp +44 7307 410512. Do not install a third “4K Sports Player” APK. Do not buy a “TiviMate premium cracked” — that is malware week.
